Step Up Your Game by Alfred Netto

PUTRAJAYA, 6th December – “Step Up Your Game”, a programme organised by the Student Representative Council (SRC) UNITEN, was held at Dewan Kuliah 1 (DK1), College of Computer Science and Information Technology (CSIT), UNITEN. This talk was presented in front of 76 students by Mr Alfred Netto or also known as Coach Alfred, who is the founder and head coach at Wolf Consultancy PLT, with the purpose of enhancing leadership skills amongst UNITEN students.

Throughout the talk, Coach Alfred shared insights on how to adopt skills in order to be liked by people, from one’s attitude or characteristics to the slightest body language mistakes one could neglect. Such aspects include eye contact, smiling, handshakes etc. In an interactive but hilarious way, Coach Alfred split the audience into groups for a presentation to him on their perceptions towards public speaking. Coach Alfred then shared tips on overcoming such stigma, which is mainly due to past experiences that created such fear.

“Your past mistakes may hinder you to pursue your objective unless you choose not to live in the past” said Coach Alfred in a motivating tone.

The event ended with a Mannequin Challenge, which was participated by all members in the hall, and a token of appreciation presented to the speaker by Amar Amjad bin Abdul Wahid, President of SRC UNITEN 16/17, accompanied by Daryl Ian Paliath, SRC Executive and the programme director.
