On January 25th 2021, Skuad Media Uniten held a Facebook live ceremony which showcased 40,000 flood victims that were affected in Johor and Pahang, including a number of UNITEN students. Thanks to notable UNITEN clubs such as CLICQ club, E-Sport club, Pro-C, NADi and EMCEE-Vengers who collaborated together to collect the funds for the UNITEN assist mission. The assist mission had operated for 10 days starting from 8 January 2021 until 17 January 2021. During the 10 days’ period, they have successfully collected RM10,525.12.
During the ceremony, Prof. Dato’ Ts. Dr. Mohd Zamri Bin Yussof, the chancellor of UNITEN, made a speech to congratulate the clubs for collecting the funds as well as explaining that people should share and help others in the community. In addition, he emphasized about his experience seeing the flood and how crucial it is to collect the funds as we cannot assist them physically due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
After the speech, a video was shared to show where the funds are to be transferred to. You can transfer the funds to Najwatul Alisa Bt Sabran or Mohamad Fayyadh Bin Fazlula’ah, both students from UNITEN Putrajaya campus while from UNITEN Muadzam Shah campus, you can transfer the funds to Muhamad Atim Bin Zainal, Alia Nadzirah Binti Amer Hamzah or Azzah Binti Saharudin.
Other than that, another video was played which showcased students from UNITEN who were the victims of the flood explaining how it affected their lives. After the touching video montage, the ceremony ended.
