ELECTRICITY SUPPLY INTERRUPTION IN PUTRAJAYA CAMPUS (PHASE 1 & PHASE 2)

Dear Residents and Staff of Putrajaya Campus,

We would like to inform you about an upcoming interruption to the electricity supply in Putrajaya Campus (Phase 1 & Phase 2) on Wednesday, 19th July 2023. This interruption is necessary to carry out rectification and servicing works at our Main Electrical Substation 11kV (Residensi Ilmu). We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

The following areas will be affected during the specified period:

1. UNITEN Gate 1 & Gate 2
2. Info Centre Buildings (TA, TB, TC)
3. Admin Building
4. Blocks BB-BJ
5. Food Court 1 & 2
6. COE Building (BM, BN, BL)
7. RHR Hotels & BV
8. Residensi Ilmu, Cendekiawan & Murni, including Guard Posts
9. Sport Arena, DSS, Mini Stadium & Swimming Pool
10. Masjid, Student Centre & MZ Café

We will start the rectification and servicing works from 10:00am until 06:00pm (8 hours). Our generator set will be operating for essential services such as lifts, emergency lights and corridor lights.

We kindly request all faculty, staff, students, and visitors in these areas to make necessary arrangements in advance to minimize any inconveniences during the power interruption. We recommend taking the following precautions:

1. Ensure all sensitive electronic equipment is properly shut down to avoid damage caused by sudden power fluctuations.
2. Save any important work and data on your computers or devices prior to the interruption.
3. Make alternative arrangements for any activities or services that require electricity during the specified period.
4. Keep refrigerators and freezers closed to maintain the temperature and preserve perishable items.
5. Plan accordingly for any personal or academic needs that may be affected during the interruption.
6. We anticipate that the power supply will be restored as soon as the rectification and servicing works are completed. However, please be advised that unforeseen circumstances may extend the duration of the interruption.
