The Student Representative Council of term 19/20 has taken the initiative alongside the Department of Student Affairs to organize a workshop that specially caters toward leaders from various clubs and societies in Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN). To be held on the 28th of February till the 1st of March, the representatives from each clubs and societies will undergo a fun and engaging session at Klana Resort, Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. These leaders will be taught the fundamentals of managing an event in UNITEN and will be equipped with the basic knowledge of being a remarkable leader. These are also aligned with our university’s constant emphasis on the importance of developing well-rounded students.
In preparation for the workshop, a dozen trainers prepared themselves for a week to be able to conduct the modules that had been planned from scratch. The Training of Trainers (ToT) which took place a week before the workshop was guided by Madam Tan Chin Hung and Miss Evelyn Yeap Ewe Lin. A few improvements were made to further polish the modules as well as last minute touch ups to ensure that the workshop would run as smoothly as possible.
It is with high hopes that this workshop will be a stepping stone to all the newly-elected leaders to heighten their clubs’ and societies’ quality of event management and also push their team to work harder and better to produce great outcomes.
