TEACHING AND LEARNING IN CONJUNCTION WITH CHRISTMAS

The Students’ Representative Council is pleased to announce adjustments to teaching and learning activities in conjunction with the Christmas holiday. Following our advocacy efforts with the relevant management branches, we have successfully secured a more accommodating Christmas break for students. These changes stem from a recent memorandum approved by our Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and International), Prof. Ir. Dr. Izham bin Zainal Abidin, convened on December 18, 2023. The aim is to provide students with a more adaptable and enriching learning experience.

Background:
In line with our commitment to cultural diversity and inclusivity, we would like to remind everyone about the scheduling of academic assessments during the Christmas festive week.

Implementation:
Faculty members are instructed to plan lectures, classes, and assessments as follows:
1. Classes will be held online for synchronous learning using Microsoft Teams from December 26th to 29th, 2023.
2. No assessments (quizzes, tests, etc.) will be conducted from December 23rd to 29th, 2023.

This arrangement aims to provide flexibility for students who may be away from campus during the festive week, allowing them to participate in learning activities remotely. We hope this change enables students to enjoy quality time with family and friends while still engaging in their educational pursuits.
